Nanshan Shoumei Tea Introduction

Nanshan Shoumei is a newly created famous tea, created in 1985 by Lijiayuan Tea Farm in Jiangsu Province (the remnant of Tianmu Mountain in Zhejiang Province). From 1993 to 1998, it won the first prize in the first to sixth “Lu Yu Cup” famous tea appraisal in Jiangsu Province.

Nanshan Shoumei Tea Production Process

Special-grade tea is usually harvested at the end of March, mainly with fresh leaves with plump buds; then super tea is harvested, mainly with fresh leaves with one bud and one leaf just beginning to unfold; premium tea is harvested around Grain Rain, mainly with fresh leaves with one bud and two leaves just beginning to unfold. After the fresh leaves are picked, they are sorted, cooled, withered, straightened and shaped, and baked. Among them, straightening and shaping is the key process of forming. The basic gestures include straightening first, then twisting and bending, lifting and pressing, so that they are straight first and then bent, round first and then flat, to form an eyebrow shape.

Nanshan Shoumei Tea Quality Identification

In terms of appearance, Nanshan Shoumei tea is slightly curved and flat, even, and covered with hairs, shaped like the eyebrows of a longevity person. The dry tea is emerald green in color.
