Puer Loose Tea Introduction
Pu’er loose tea is a type of Pu’er tea with a very long production history. It is named after the distribution area of Pu’er. Pu’er loose tea is sun-dried green tea, which is screened and graded after being piled up. Under appropriate storage conditions, the longer the age, the better its quality. Pu’er tea was first introduced in the Ming Dynasty and flourished in the Qing Dynasty. Yiwu Cheshunhao is the only Pu’er tea company in the history of Chinese tea industry that was awarded by the emperor (Emperor Daoguang). The plaque awarded by the emperor reads “Rui Gong Tianchao” in four golden characters. Pu’er tea is a post-fermented tea, which has the characteristic of becoming more fragrant as it ages, and is known as “drinkable antiques”.

Puer Loose Tea Production Process

After the fresh leaves are picked, they are made through processes such as withering, rolling, sun drying, piling, air drying, and screening.

Puer Loose Tea Quality Identification
◎ Look at the appearance: Pu’er loose tea with many buds, visible hairs, high tenderness, tight and heavy leaves, and smooth and moist color is the best quality. For example, high-end Pu’er loose tea has golden hairs, brown-red (or dark brown) luster, tight and heavy leaves. ◎ Look at the soup color: Pu’er tea soup color requires bright red. If the soup color is red, thick and clear, it is a top quality; dark red is normal; turbid soup color is low quality. The soup color of Pu’er cooked loose tea is dark chestnut, even close to black. ◎ Smell the aroma: Mainly distinguish whether there is aged fragrance, pay attention to distinguish between moldy smell and aged fragrance. Musty smell is a deteriorated smell that makes people uncomfortable. And aged fragrance is a pure comprehensive aroma, some of which are like longan fragrance, some are like betel nut fragrance, and some are like sweet fragrance. ◎ Taste: Mainly taste the mellow, smooth and sweet taste. Mellow means that the taste is refreshing and sweet, lacking in umami and not irritating. Refreshing and smooth means refreshing, with a pleasant feeling in the mouth without dryness.
