Square Tea Introduction
Square bag tea is one of the basket-bag-type roasted and pressed black teas, and is a variety of western road border tea. It is named because its raw materials are pressed in square wicker bags. Because western road border tea was transported by horses in the past, it is also called “horse tea”.

Square Tea Production Process
The raw materials of fresh tea leaves are coarser and older than those of southern roadside tea. They are harvested from mature branches of 1 to 2 years old and directly dried. The raw tea is processed through the processes of cutting, sieving, mixing, steaming, and piling. Then, it is processed, including weighing, frying, and bagging. Finally, the bags are baked and air-dried.
