There are four main varieties of osmanthus suitable for making scented tea, namely, golden osmanthus, red osmanthus, silver osmanthus, and four-season osmanthus. The flowering period is from August to September, usually only 8 to 9 days, so they must be picked in time before the petals wither, and they must be picked in the morning. It is made through the processes of preparing tea base, maintaining fresh flowers, mixing and scenting flowers, cooling flowers, collecting piles for continued scenting, and drying flowers. It should be noted that if the pile is used for scenting, the height of the pile, the scenting time and the temperature must be controlled.
