Learn More about Moonlight White Tea

Moonlight White Tea Introduction

Because the back of the dry tea leaves is covered with fine silver-white hairs, just like moonlight, it is named “Moonlight White”, also known as “Moonlight Beauty”. Although it is also made from the buds and leaves of ancient Pu’er tea trees, strictly speaking, it is not a Pu’er tea produced using Pu’er’s processing technology, but a special tea among Pu’er raw tea.

Moonlight White Tea Origin

Jingmai Mountain, Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Pu’er City, Yunnan Province, and Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture

Moonlight White Tea Production Process

In spring, we pick one bud and one leaf from ancient tea trees. We only use the “withering” processing technology, and place the picked fresh leaves in the shade of the earth house to let them ferment and dry naturally, without any other processing steps.

Moonlight White Tea Quality Identification

From the appearance, Moonlight White is like a crescent moon, with fine tea velvet, white surface and black bottom. After brewing, the internal aroma is rich and lingering, elegant and refined, the soup color is golden and bright, the taste is mellow and smooth, and the bottom of the leaves is reddish brown and uniform. Moonlight White is very durable. After brewing 4 or 5 times in a row, the tea soup is still crystal clear and the tea fragrance remains.
