Nanan Shitinglv Tea Introduction
Nan’an Shiting Green is a famous historical tea, created in the Ming Dynasty, also known as Shiting Tea. It is famous both at home and abroad for its “three greens and three fragrances”. The “three greens” refer to the gray-green dry tea, emerald green soup and tender green leaf bottom. The “three fragrances” represent the different picking seasons. The tea aroma presents three scents: orchid, mung bean and almond.

Nanan Shitinglv Tea Production Process
The tea garden opens from the end of March to the beginning of April every year. The requirements for picking are coarse in spring and fine in summer. Spring tea is picked when the buds begin to unfold and become “chicken tongue-shaped”, and one bud and two leaves are picked; summer tea is picked before the buds begin to unfold. The production process includes light withering, killing green, initial kneading, re-frying, re-kneading, bright frying, and full drying. The purpose of light withering is to evaporate water, and from initial kneading to re-kneading is the key process for shaping. Bright frying is to achieve the purpose of coloring.
