Anhua Songzhen Tea Introduction
Anhua Pine Needle is a newly created famous tea, created in 1959. It is named because it is produced in Anhua and looks like pine needles. In the 1960s, Anhua Pine Needle was known as one of the three famous teas in Hunan; in 1989, it was rated as a “national famous tea” by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Anhua Songzhen Tea Production Process
High-end tea uses young and tender fresh leaves with one bud and one leaf just beginning to unfold; ordinary tea uses fresh leaves with one bud and two leaves just beginning to unfold. After the fresh leaves are picked, they are made through eight processes: spreading, killing, rolling, frying, cooling, shaping, drying, and screening. Among them, shaping is the key process that determines the fine, round, tight and straight shape of pine needle tea.
