Lushan Yunwu Tea Introduction
Lushan Cloud and Mist is a famous historical tea, known as “Wenlin Tea” in ancient times and “Lushan Cloud and Mist” since the Ming Dynasty. Due to the long-term infiltration of the flowing springs and waterfalls of Lushan Mountain and the influence of the moving clouds and mist, its unique quality has been formed: the leaves are thick and hairy, mellow and sweet, rich in nutrients, and can prolong life.

Lushan Cloud Tea was first produced in the Eastern Han Dynasty and became famous in the Song Dynasty as a tribute tea. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the production became more prosperous and was once a necessity for local monks. In 1982, the tea was rated as a national famous tea by the Ministry of Commerce and won the National Silver Award for High-quality Products; in 1988, it won the gold medal at the first China Food Expo.

Lushan Yunwu Tea Production Process
The tea is harvested around the Qingming Festival. The picking standard is that the tea has one bud and one leaf that has just begun to unfold, and the bud length does not exceed 3 cm. The buds and leaves after the beginning of summer are used to make ordinary roasted green tea. After picking, it is made through the processes of spreading, killing green, shaking, gently kneading, stir-frying, sorting, rubbing, picking, lifting, removing powder, drying, and baking.

Lushan Cloud and Mist export tea is divided into special grade, first grade and second grade; domestic tea is divided into special grade one, special grade two and first grade, second grade and third grade. The quality is the best in the tea gardens of Hanyang Peak and Wulao Peak, which are at high altitude and covered with clouds all day long. When buying loose tea, first grind the tea leaves with two fingers. If it can be ground into powder, it means that the tea is relatively dry; if it cannot be ground into powder, but can only be ground into thin flakes, it means that the tea has absorbed moisture or is not made delicately.
